Acupuncture & Mental Health Issues.
One of the famous acupuncture theories is Five Element Theory. The five element theory represents our human body consists of 5 visceral organs (Liver, Heart, Spleen, Lung, Kidney) and 6 Bowels (Gall Bladder, Small Intestine, Stomach, Large Intestine, Urinary Bladder, Triple Energizer). The five visceral organs hold seven emotions such as anger, joy, anxiety, contemplation, grief, fear and fright. Each emotions is controlled by each organs.
Therefore, acupuncture and traditional eastern herbal medicine can be used to control or boost a certain organ to help our emotions.
Saam acupuncture, especially, uses five element points in each meridian in our body to control our emotions. All five element points in the meridian are located in limbs, so that it is not dangerous.
